Yup, this is the face behind A Confessed Bibliophile. #noshame
So, a little about me!
I was born in Tennessee, sometime back in the 80s. Let’s not go there. I’m nearing 30. We will leave it at that. I mean, I’m basically so close to 30 I may as well say I’m 30. I’m basically dipping my toes in the “Age 30+ only” pool to test the waters, that’s how close it is. Ok, moving on from my completely obvious age inspired insecurity.
Other than Tennessee, I’ve lived in Texas and China. Yup, China. In fact, I’m starting this blog during my long, boring, uneventful trip to my husband’s hometown in the countryside of the Shandong province. We won’t be here much longer however, because we are moving back to good ole’ ‘Merica at the end of this month. So, I guess I am going to have to update this when I’m in a more permanent place.
I’m married. Yup. That hunk in the black and white photo, that’s my man. He’s my opposite. I love reading, art, and music. His idea of fun is running, Kung-fu, and mega-cheesy action films. Shhhh. Don’t tell him I said that.
Truth is, he balances me out. So I’m cool with his totally uninteresting interests.
As previously mentioned, I enjoy reading, art journaling, and music. As well as movies and tons of other stuff. But people always seem to name THREE. It’s almost as if we are only allowed three hobbies, no more and no less.
- Urban Fantasy
- Retelling (that’s a genre right!?🤔)
Are you seeing a trend? Basically anything out of the realm of reality is good for me. I love all books, but lately it’s the genres mentioned above that I am gravitating to.
Not much different than my book genres really haha.
I’m not going to do book series of books or what have you. I will save those for the blogs. 🖋
So I suppose that’s enough about me. The rest you will learn over time if you stick around and read with me.
